Not My Imagination - McCain Does Lie More Than Obama

I have wondered why McCain feels the need to resort to complete lies in his ads, but I suppose he's not appealing to people that would actually take the time to research his claims.  It's not just my imagination, as shown in the article below (with a small snip):

http://www.slate.com/id/2199923

Since July, John McCain and his campaign have made 11 political claims that are barely true, eight that are categorically false, and three that you'd have to call pants-on-fire lies—a total of 22 clearly deceptive statements (many of them made repeatedly in ads and stump speeches). Barack Obama and Joe Biden, meanwhile, have put out eight bare truths, four untruths, and zero pants-on-fire lies—12 false claims. These stats and categories come from PolitiFact, but the story looks pretty much the same if you count up fabrications documented by FactCheck.org or the Washington Post's Fact Checker, the other truth-squad operations working the race: During the past two and a half months, McCain has lied more often and more outrageously than Obama.

Obama told the biggest lie of all when he said he was all about change. If he is about change, why did he pick a Washington insider of more than 30 years for his VP???? If you want real change, pick McCain & Palin!!!

True change will never happen with either a Republican or a Democrat. Unfortunately, it is near-impossible for an independent to get on the ballots and have enough funding to be a real threat in November. I would love to see someone like Paul or Baldwin given an equal shot at the presidency (media coverage, invites to debates, funding, etc...) and see what happens. The sad truth is that we are conditioned to believe that our votes do not count if we don't vote for one of the "big 2" candidates and this belief is perpetuated by the ones who benefit from it most, the parties themselves.
