OPEC Punchless?

The price of oil has been plummeting even as the dollar weakens. I've seen gasoline for as little as $1.39 a week ago, yet many analysts expect it to fall even further. It was under $40 a barrel today and still falling. OPEC announced that they will drop production by 2.2 million barrels a day, but according to the article below, such a move would be suicide for many of the member countries. Cheap gasoline is here for the near future, but part of me hopes it rises again so that our country will remain focused on viable alternative fuels.

Update: It could fall as low as $25/barrel.
