I just read an article that made me cringe. A contractor was found guilty of larceny for failing to do work for which he was paid. He began making payments, but filed for bankruptcy two months prior to the conviction. Later he sued the victim for intentionally violating the stay on claims, saying he had him arrested to collect on the debt. Not only could the victim not collect the amount he was awarded, he was also forced to pay this contractor's attorney and court fees. I thought the family courts were ridiculous, but this gives them a run for their money.
